My name is Tomasz Felpel, and I am a global entrepreneur, strategist, and investor with Polish heritage and an international presence. Originally hailing from Poland, my professional journey has led me across Europe and beyond. I had the privilege of attending boarding school in England, residing in Germany, and spending six formative years in Denmark, before ultimately establishing my residency in New York City. These diverse experiences have contributed to my development as a genuinely international resident, affording me a distinctive perspective on business and innovation.
At Columbia Business School, I hold positions on the boards of the Venture Capital Club (VCC) and the Columbia Entrepreneurship Organization (CEO). In these capacities, I am dedicated to facilitating substantive connections among MBA students, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs. I prioritize the creation of opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and professional development through events, workshops, and networking initiatives.
I have accumulated over seven years of corporate experience across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, and technology. In my capacity as a Global Business Development Manager at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), I oversee cross-functional teams and administer an annual budget exceeding $100 million from the years 2021 to 2024. At DuPont, I contributed significantly to the successful $26.2 billion merger with IFF by identifying $400 million in revenue synergies and formulating strategies that enhanced global market penetration. Earlier in my career at BASF, I directed cross-border projects aimed at optimizing technology adoption and devised innovative go-to-market strategies for technology within the agricultural sector.
In my capacity as a board member of the Felpel Family Office, a first-generation, family-owned enterprise located in Krakow, Poland, I am responsible for overseeing investments in the sectors of real estate, education, and pharmaceuticals. This role encompasses the management of various enterprises, including Farmed, a pharmaceutical company, and Centrum Edukacji Międzynarodowej Kolegium Europejskie, an educational institution. I am dedicated to ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence within these ventures.
I also serve as the co-founder of OneSip, a mobile application that revolutionizes the cocktail experience by offering a platform for the discovery, evaluation, and sharing of cocktails. OneSip provides bars and restaurants with actionable data insights, thereby bridging the gap between enthusiasts and industry professionals. Prior to this, I established OSY, a nutraceutical startup dedicated to the development of plant-based supplements aimed at enhancing cognitive performance, which further cultivated my enthusiasm for innovation and sustainability.
In addition to establishing ventures, I actively engage in mentoring startups by assisting founders in the refinement of their strategies, the identification of growth opportunities, and the development of scalable solutions. I founded a nonprofit organization, Start Up Campus, which supports high school students in the development and launch of their own business concepts. Through this initiative, I provide guidance to aspiring young entrepreneurs in areas such as strategic planning, innovation, and market entry strategies. This endeavor exemplifies my commitment to empowering the next generation and fostering a positive impact within my community. Whether managing investments, cultivating professional networks, or spearheading entrepreneurial projects, I remain resolutely dedicated to enacting meaningful change on a global scale
